A great sledding hill. It was pretty crowded, but not overly so.
The main problem with this place is not the crowding, it is the parents. They were not supervising their children. Let's be honest, children are not always aware of their surroundings (I have had 4 of my own, so that opinion is based on direct observation). So a lot of the younger ones were walking directly up the sledding area, creating a hazard for themselves and for the people coming down the hill. And the parents were pretty oblivious to the hazard (making me realize that perhaps obliviousness is hereditary).
Just the day before we were there two people were taken away by EMS--one with a broken ankle--because of a collision.
Anyway, I only did a few runs because it was stressful trying to avoid the people wandering into...
Read moreMy son is very analytical. He had a good look and decided the fun of sliding down was going to be worth the effort of walking up. After a couple trips up and down he was completely sure.
Many families were all on the hill sledding together. I brought my elderly mother and we stayed up on the road. I set camp chairs by the edge and we bundled in blankets besides our snow wear to watch the kids play.
