Great experience, awesome people and superb wines. I loved the wines and was planning to purchase several gallons . Unfortunately I wasn’t comfortable with the pour your own and the “stick” everyone is touching gets fully immersed in your container, and all over your wine,. I appreciated we all had gloves on but still prefer after we were the 40th people of the day to touch that stick not to have wine fully immersed that way. I was disappointed with that but everything else was awesome. My suggestion would be to put out mason jars and have staff put samples in there, people self serve from the mason jar, and staff with great sanitary procedures fills up the mason jars and the take home size containers people prefer. And/Or have a few pre bottled. They could also have a few “mason jar stations” and socially distanced serving of a couple groups instead of just one group at a time that way. That would have saved us the hour and a half wait for our sampling. Either way it was a Fun way to spend...
Read moreSweet sweet Mead. When i first pulled in I was taken aback by the kilts, Renaissance Festival style attire, gentleman on a 4 wheeler and overall look of the property. There was a bit of a wait to enter, and I waited at a picnic table. Eventually our card was called and we entered. We were greeted by an energetic owner and passionate crafter of sweet Mead. You have a mask on, put on rubber gloves, can sample 11 different types of Mead and then fill your jugs. They have gallon size bottles, liters, and a 4 pack of smaller bottles or you can bring your own. I would say, i didn't know what to expect and wouldn't call the Renaissance scene, my scene but the owners make this a really great experience. If you have tried mead or haven't, this is a great place to visit. They weren't currently allowing dogs to roam on the property, they will need to stay in your...
Read moreShooting pumpkins on opening weekend for hours on end. Incredibly rude and inconsiderate for those who have been waiting a year and preparing for this. People in the area hunt to feed their families and shooting at pumpkins sends the deer into hiding. Kids get excited for this weekend and the parents spend lots of money to be able to take them and now their opener is ruined. Completely inconsiderate and rude to the families who hunt on their land in the neighboring area. Not somewhere I’d want to support if they don’t consider the people in their community.
Edit: I am not married. You spoke with no one...
