Mt. Battie Tower — Attraction in Camden

We opted to drive to the summit. $6/adult (12-64) as out of state residents. $5/adult for ME Residents. No wait to drive up. There are plenty of trails to hike if you prefer. I have done them in the past but didn't have the time today. Tremendous views of Camden harbor and you can see all the way to the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse when it is clear. Beautiful. Very well maintained park, road, sidewalk. The stairs in the tower are perfect. Might be the best maintained "viewing site" we've ever experienced.

The view is fantastic. Our day was warm and sunny. We hiked the trail up and it was reasonable effort but lots of rocks and roots. So be careful, but definitely worth it. The view from the top of Mt. Battie Tower is amazing. I love the beautiful spiral staircase. You can also walk all around the top of the mountain, sit down for a picnic on the grass, or take a few short hikes around up there. The outcropping of rocks by the parking lot is beautiful, and fun to climb over. Of course there is parh to the top that anyone can walk on. We saw a family of turkeys walking through the underbrush.
