I arrived early at 5 pm gate opening time, (Five Finger Death Punch concert) in order to get a good parking spot. $10 CASH for parking upon entry. Every concert I have been to had parking fees higher than this. The ampitheatre is nice as it is due to the hard working people and how well they maintain it so don't whine about the fee. You probably have no idea how expensive it is to get the level of artists they get here so yeah $10 to park is fair. Getting there at 5pm worked out great since I was less than 100 yards from the entry gate. The field where I parked filled up pretty fast, and the lines to the ampitheatre gates got long quickly but when they allowed people in at 6:30 pm the lines moved relatively fast. Check the website or social media for parking lot, gate times and rules as each event it may be different due to each band's requirements for the show you plan on attending. Once inside the Merch tent was in full swing and the food vendors were already cranking out food. I got in line in one of the multiple lines for BBQ and it only took less than 5 minutes to get a BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It was $8 and a big bottle of water for $3. Before you start thinking $11 is too much for that let me tell you this... I owned a popular BBQ place in Columbia Mo for 7 years and $8 is exactly what I charged for a pulled pork sandwich. I piled the meat high, and so do these guys! As for the water $3 is a fair price for a concert venue. They had lots of other food choices for everyone on both sides of the venue. Actually I was very surprised at how many different food stands they had, including one for ICE CREAM! Yes they have beer and mixed drink beverages also and the price is a little high but if you are going to a concert just to get drunk you may have issues. Have a beer and a BBQ and enjoy the concert. That's what you came for after all. Not a bad seat in the venue, but kinda hard and not too comfy, but once the music starts everyone is on thier feet anyway. The music sounded terrific in that outdoor ampitheatre and the atmosphere can't be beat. Wonderful and helpful staff, unless you act like an idiot. They don't put up with stupid people and I'm glad they don't let a few ruin the experience for everyone else. Safe environment for families with kids!!! This was my first visit there but I will go back. PS...when the venue has a big crowd, prepare to wait in line in your car to get out and on the highway after the show. It's a lot of people all trying to leave at once. If you are the impatient type or just need to get out quickly I advise you try to leave before the last song of the night. I strongly recommend Ozark Amphitheatre for anyone thinking about going to a show there. Think ahead and book a hotel for the night and check in the afternoon of the show then go have fun. It's nice to just go get off your feet after the show instead of having to drive home. There are some hotels near the venue and many near the lake about 10 or 15 minutes away. I stayed at The Hawks Nest Lodge by the bridge on 54. An older hotel, It was only $62 plus tax for the night. It's not the fanciest hotel but it was clean and the AC was good and cold in the room. I met some of the other occupants on the balcony who were also going to the concert. All really nice people. The pool is currently being fixed due to a crack it's out of order, so be patient about that. The hotel is under new ownership by a family. They are working to upgrade everything but for $62 it's clean and comfortable enough. It's right by the Grand Glaze Inn on 54. Nice people who run it. PS...back to the ampitheatre... indoor bathroom facilities as well as plenty of clean Porto potties at the ampitheatre. First aid and ambulance on site during the shows! I also found a stand in the middle of the stage right vendor area that had FREE cold drinking water from jug dispensers with...
Read moreQuirk tent Review! What a RIP OFF!! I was closer in section 2!!! These are nose bleeds!
Beware Table Q in Quirk tent. No View, Bad Audio. Smokers are right beind you chatting. Concessions lines right behind you chatting. Its really not fun on the back row in the quirk tent. Table Q was bad, our view was blocked by the bartender!!!! The bartender had a better view then us!!! I tried getting moved, with no luck. I tried getting Ozark Amp. To hear me out after the show within 7-10 business days. I started with ticketmaster who sent me to Ozark Amp. Avoid Ben at the booth/Customer service at Ozark Amp, he's new and not trained well.
They told me sorry, now you know not to sit there.
Ozark Amp policy is To Not Refund or Comp anything after the SHOW. 0% LIBILITY FOR TABLE Q.
If you do not check your seats out prior to the show to try and haggle a better deal with Ozark Amp. You're screwed once the show begins and is over. The deals done 100%.
Speaking to Ben at Ozark Amp asking for advice, I said I have front row for Bert, can you get me 2 free t shirts atleast for Bert to make up for 4 horrible tickets/Table Q from Tom?
No. We don't reemburse after the shows.
Okay, I'll ask in person at Bert and probably get someone that's cool and understanding.
I was really dissapointed in Ozark Amp for customer service. Ticket master passed buck on to Ozark. Ozark blamed ticketmaster. No one owned that Table Q had Zero View, and poor Sound quality. I couldn't hear the first two comedians. I couldn't SEE any of them. My premium seats were def Not Premium. Ticketmaster promoted these tables in the pit. Ozark gave excuses telling me, I might of had access to the pit with quirk benfits. Ticketmaster didn't say these were quirk tables, and truly falsely promoted these seats. Ozark Amp blamed ticket, ticket blamed Ozark Amp.
Ben had no idea the view personally to agree or disagree with me about the quirk tent layout. I told him I tried to get moved and said these seats wouldn't work to the Quirk Attendance.
Ben wouldn't tell me the representative he was suggesting I should have spoke to above the quirk tent representative to get my money back prior to the show.
He suggested I follow those steps in the future, but wouldn't tell me where or who to reach out too in that time?
Ben really suggested I cancel my Bert K tickets.
That if I'm that upset, which I wasn't.
Ben suggested I cancel future orders rather then communicating who I should ask for at the venue to resolve issues, like a GM and their Name.
Then after 20 mins of arguing and playing g " I didn't say that".... he wouldn't tell me his Name. I had to ask 5 times, who am I speaking with right now?
If you're doing a top notch job, you don't try and hide your name knowing you're being difficult to be difficult.
I also left a VM 3 days prior with no call back....
Read moreThis was my first time at this venue. We actually drove up to bridal cave a few weeks before to buy tickets in person. It was easier than using the online system for some reason. Also to have printed tickets is a nice souvenir. I was concerned about parking. Premium parking was sold out. It was amazing how well the staff handled the incoming traffic for parking. There was minimal delay. My only comment about that is that the parking is a fair distance from where you will be seated. They do have handicap parking for people. However my case I had just sprained my ankle and had no handicapped permits and did not realize the distance I would have to walk. There's a fairly evil staircase going down from the parking lot. It's made of gravel and would timbers and really needs some more gravel so the steps are level. The security check was quick. I'd already read about what not to bring to the concert. The staff is positively the best. They were greeting everyone and helping people find seats and answer questions in general. Concessions are priced about what you would expect them to be. A large bottle of water was $6. The seats are adequate. Spacing means that if you're over 6 ft 3 you run the risk of your knees pressing against the seat in front of you. And the worst part about that is when people need to get out and past you. I know the venue makes money on selling alcoholic beverages but it honestly seems like some of the people in our row were there for drinking and not for the concert. I say that because I had to get up no fewer than 23 times during the concert to allow someone to get through. That means I only got to enjoy three songs without getting up. And I'm generally okay with doing that however there are a couple of people who seemed intent on downing a beer as quick as they could only to want to get out again to buy another one. Aside from that the venue is very nice. The sound system and video were great. I would say their claim that there's not a bad seat in the house is true. I wouldn't hesitate going back for more concerts. Once back in my car after the concert it was about 30 minutes before we were able to leave. We definitely were not the last ones out but there weren't all that many left when we finally made it out of the place. I'm not sure that could be handled any better considering the sheer volume of the traffic. As others have mentioned I don't think you can say enough good things...
