PEARL ASIAN RESTAURANT Update: Thursday, March 28, 2024 PM This is our second visit to this restaurant. We were excited to go back since we had such a great experience the first time. Sadly the second time the food was not nearly as good the first time. A couple of the dishes were not cooked fresh to order. The first was the cream cheese puffs and the second was the sweet-and-sour chicken. Both of those were reheated in the microwave for sure!! The fried rice was not nearly as good as first time. It just didn’t have the flavor. We thought we had found something special with Pearl. Maybe if they’re really busy and don’t use the microwave it might be good. But this was a very slow night and some of the items have been pre-cooked and held in the warmer. The lemon chicken had way too much batter and was soggy. The cheese puffs were not crunchy and crisp…they were limp and soggy. We can duplicate this meal at a Chinese restaurant here in town without driving 75 miles. I don’t think we’ll be back. But on a good note, Diana was our server again and she is terrific. She was the one bright spot in our dining experience. Thanks, Diana! ———————- My son and I decided to eat here tonight instead of at Henry’s Steakhouse. We wanted to try this restaurant since it’s relatively new. We totally agree with the other reviewer that the experience was incredible…the food and the service. We were actually amazed how good it was. We can’t wait to go back. We ordered the wonton with cream cheese filling , Pearl fried rice minus the vegetables, sweet and sour chicken and sweet-and-sour pork. We had the fresh brew iced tea to drink. I usually judge a Chinese restaurant by the quality of their sweet-and-sour pork. The majority of time it’s mediocre but it certainly was not mediocre tonight! Our server, Diana, topped it off with amazing service. Our glasses were full the entire time and she checked on us just often enough to make sure we were satisfied. To be honest, we can’t wait to go back! ——————- KOTO BUFFET Update: Saturday, August 5, 2023 PM A big part of the draw for us is the Buffet. But the buffet disappointed Saturday night. I mainly go for the crab. It was not good. Small legs in soggy shells. Hard to get the meat out. Chicken needs to be made in small batches so it’s fresh and hot. Mashed potatoes had big chunks. Usually we look forward to the Buffet but I’m not sure we will eat there again. Of course we gambled. That was a negative experience for me. I left way too much money there. My son played BJ. He held his own. We need to reevaluate where we spend our gambling money in the future. NOTE: The seafood buffet is Friday and Saturday night. But they only serve lobster on Friday nights❓‼️ What keeps us returning here are the casino hosts. They’ve taken good care of us in the past. Kudos to Cindy, Jay, Erica and Mary! However this last trip yesterday we did not see any hosts. I don’t know what happened…maybe they were so busy because of the new addition opening.
One of the draws here is the seafood buffet. The buffet was good. They were quite busy for a rainy weekend! The draw for us was the ayce lobster and crab.
Warning… don’t come up here for the lobster!! It was miserable. Tough as nails! I don’t know what they do to it to make it so tough. Maybe it’s the type of lobster. Good idea but they really need a different supplier or a different cooking method?
That being said everything else was good. The crab was good and there’s a lot of variety of other food.
Where were ribs, prime rib, filet, oysters, just about everything you can think of. A scampi station. Lots of dessert choices. Soft serve ice cream. Really good diet Pepsi!
And…as much as you want to eat.
They need to add a few servers/bussers. They were slammed and we had to actually ask to have plates removed off of our table.

Read moreThis is the worst casino I've ever experienced. My husband recently passed so my son and my husband's best friend took me out to get my mind off of the nightmare I was enduring. I had my service dog . Right as we stepped out of elevator we were met by a very seriously deranged security officer. Had my dogs service papers in hand offered them to him and he said no I trust nobody. So I said trust me for what , he doesn't need to trust me at all. He continued to bager us and said it's the business. He'd rather see us on our knees handcuffed before trusting us. So I was slipping away from the mall cop gone bad and he continues to threaten me with if my service dog bits, barks, pees, poops Orson on and so forth that we will be thrown out. I looked down at my all of 10 pound dog and said ok you heard all that. Finally walked away. My dog my son played these slots for a min losing very quickly like they said is usual. So we walked and walked looking for our friend. Walked some more just about covered all casino. Time to go so as I'm walking onto elevator my son's behind me and says to thie security no buying no pee incidents and he approaches me very quickly and says as a matter of fact somebody got bit and it was your dog. So I'm already in elevator and he's at the door mumbling and saying your dog bit and I said no the woman on elevator as doors closing says what is he saying to you so rudely and I told her and she's looking at my dog shaking her head saying how this place disgusts her. I get off on my floor thinking my son behind me , but no son so I stayed waiting for some time and decide to go back up and look for him. Door opens and security guy quickly stomps in front of the door blocks me and my dog stepping on us once again and says oh no your not coming in here w that!!! Referring to my dog I said excuse me? He said your dog bit and it, that needs to go back in your vehicle if you want entrance. I said I just want my son and to get out of this he'll. The garage was at least still over 100 as I felt it. So me and my dog turn after feeling very sick to our stomachs and in disbelief that this lying piece of a human is even in security. Which all of them seemed as same there's no polite in the entire place . I will take this to everywhere because my dog bit nobody and my husband had just passed and I was trying to get out of my head for a min. This was the worst decision I ever made. So I left crying and sick to my stomach and I felt very assaulted by this man. I'm not happy Red Hawk and my lawyer will be advising me on...
Read moreWas very disappointed after my Host would not hold a Special invitation gift for a bit longer than the cut off time- seen them hold gifts for others in the Apex closet like Sees candy box and a liquor set 1 week after the pick up date. On this day all I asked was for my gift 3 of 4 be held until I got there. I was told "NO" then only 15min after and they "might" accommodate. I live far and my family Had missed their flight scheduled originally to arive at SF at 10am. Then to be expected at 3pm, pick up time for special event gift would start at 3pm as well. As soon as I had found out 8am, I text my Host who didnt reply until 12:31 noon. This was not the first time my Host disappointed specially after all the money i tend to take and play. Originally I thought i had text my Host 3 days before my bday, come to find out it was 1 month before when I seen a Black cup being given away for those with Birthdays that specific month. I text my Host and asked if in any way he could get me "ONE" cup because on my bday month they usually dont have them. That i have the same white cup only because a man a couple years back gave me them to me and I at least wanted "ONE" black cup for my collection. Host said NO. One cup woth maybe $15 compared to me playing between $500 to $1,000 every time im invited to a special event or me just showing up. I tried getting on the 4 of 4 gift invite and was denied by a different host..not his fault but still disappointed because I wasnt planning on missing none of the special events. I only have 2 of the 4 Hello Kitty gifts. Now I will be taking my money to a different casino. Sad to say last day will be me picking up my $100 amazon gift card, clearing out my Comp of about $600, a gift card of $150 and what ever my partner has on her card. Good...
