My daughter and I drove up to Mt Pisgah on the parkway and came down to this overlook. The actually overlook faces towards the SE, My daughter took the photos with my I phone while the little dog keep my lab warm. It was a little kool, 47 F , but windy, got the outback to block some of the wind. I had seen the northern lights up near Ridgeway PA back in 1966 or 67 when we were woken from a dead sleep by my Mother to show us the Northern Lights there. Beautiful Greenish colors floating in the skies ! I have never forgotten it. Luckily she did not have to work on saturday so... Initially, I had not read the email and info my daughter had sent earlier in the day. It was not until I had pulled my cell out and take a few shots had I realized what was in front of us and the rest was history.
