Maxwell's is WONDERFUL. We've gone every year for the past three years. First of all, pick up some of the $2 off coupons around town -- they usually have them at the Donut Stop and a few other places. Then, go early so it's not too hot and so that the animals are still hungry -- the bunnies will eat lettuce from your hand through the fence before they get full later in the day. All activities at the farm -- and there are MANY -- are included in admission except for the corn guns (which I believe is like $1 for three shots or something) and the animal food, which is 50 cents. The farm has enough activities that my four young children could spend all day there. Slides, Corn box (like a sand box but with dried corn), pedal go carts, goats, bunny town, hay rides, barrel train, jumping pillow, bouncy house, big corn maze for adults and a little one for kids, obstacle course/zipline, live bands (check to see who's playing and when) and a few more that I'm sure I'm missing. We go and do all the activities, then ride the hay ride out to the field. YES, you do have to pay for pumpkins, but they are CHEAP and being able to pick them from the field with my kids and take pictures of that is just magical. If you go with a group, the complimentary pumpkin IS small, but if you just go pick your own, you can find the biggest in the field for around $5 -- way cheaper than a pumpkin patch in town. They sell food there, but outside food is allowed, and the owners are super nice. Come with an open mind and with an eye towards family fun and you'll have a great time. It's not all about getting a free...
Read more12/6 UPDATE❗️ Maxwell's allowed people who had purchased fall tickets and didn't get to use them, use them for the Christmas winter season. We went yesterday for the first time with our family and it was so much fun! So many fun activities for the kids (and if the grown ups want to join and bring out the inner kid in them!) Thank you Maxwell's for honoring the unused tickets from the fall!!
11/3: I've always heard great things about this pumpkin farm, so we bought tickets during the early bird pricing . We understand if we can't get refunded due to weather but it would have been nice to be able to use the tickets during the Christmas season. This was the last weekend (Nov 2-3) to be open for the fall and since it got flooded they closed it for the season and I messaged them if we can use them for Christmas season and they said we CAN'T get refunded and can only be used for FALL season. $74 for 4 tickets down the drain! It's so funny that Saturday they posted how "fall is now closed because of the flooding", but yet it already looked like they had closed it sooner! Where's all the pumpkins and all the color in the pics they've posted previous to Saturday? Did it get washed away?? Then this mornings they selfishly thank people for supporting them, but can't make it right to "the people who supported them" and at least transfer the tickets for the Christmas season? That's a big slap and haha got your money with that thank you to "our...
Read moreI am so disappointed and I do genuinely feel cheated. I waited in line for 45 minutes for a drive thru experience that only lasted 6. I was not aware that the experience changed to a drive thru due to cold weather. It is not on your website, should be in big bold letters "HEY WE CHANGED IT TO A DRIVE THRU CUS ITS COLD" That wouldve been all I needed. I don't know how I was supposed to recieve information about this drastic change. People I spoke with after said they'd heard it on the news (?) Additional signs should've been placed in line indicating that you could not walk through and it has been changed. The only indication that anything was arry was two persons handing out flyers close to the entrance gate, but far from the actual line to get in. We were in line for 30 minutes before we recieved the flyer, and remained confused for the rest of the 15. Spoke to persons during the drive thru about them not knowing either. Children did not have bathrooms. People were mad. Besides my being ignorant of the fact that it became Maxwells magical drive thru, I do not believe 20 dollars for the 6 minute experience was worth it. I am a young person who has been many times during the christmas season, and am now jaded. 2 stars only for kind staff as usual. Pictures of looooong lines and drive thru...
