I took a trip from North Carolina to Wallops Island, and was glad to stop at this beautiful scenic overlook...lots of natural beachy goodness, birds just chillin', and container ships off in the distance (those things move FAST!). The parking area is pretty big; not that it was terribly crowded for my visit, and they have a few coin-op veiwers on site. I saw some human prints on the beach, but there is posted signage stating that beach/dune access is restricted in order to preserve the ecosystem. The overlook is accessible from both directions on the highway, and is between the tollbooths...not gonna complain about it, but I will say it helps take the sting out of the $14.00 toll...and the tunnels are...
