Don't let the reviews fool you. La Selva does not have direct public access, but local residents can get a key to the gate. To enjoy the beach, you will have to pay for parking at Manresa State Beach, then walk to La Selva. The parking at Manresa State Beach is ten dollars. It's worth it, if you plan to spend a few hours on the beach. Be sure not to leave any valuables in your vehicle, since there's no security in the area.
