Sunlight Ski Resort Mountain Top — Attraction in Carbondale

This was my first time at Sunlight in 20 years and nothing, literally nothing seems to have changed. Very quaint, hidden gem.

There's some challenging terrain which is fun and staff are friendly and helpful.

But..

The lift service is in desperate need of an upgrade. The 1980s vintage lift to the top is challenging to load even for veterans. And it's so, so slow and...

Came here last year and one of the best ski resorts I've ever visited. Great prices and not huge crowds I skied from open to close, and conditions were great all day. It's not my home resort, but it's definitely one I want to come to more often, it's kid friendly but also has some very advanced runs would recommend to stop...

extremely cheap lift ticket. cheaper than most places in the Midwest. Lifts are slow, roughly 30 mins from base to peak. Blue trails felt like Greens for the most part and the snow wasn't great when I was there in mid-March.

Still has lots of potential and the price fits...
