Pretty cool since they redid the dam and road right in front of it. Good for a 15 or 20 minute stop / photo op. The construction screwed up where you could stop and sit off the road while riding a sport bike. They put a guardrail up completely blocking that area which isn't needed there since the road is perfectly straight right there and far enough from any kind of a turn that it's not needed. The guardrail was put there for the sole purpose of not having a couple guys on bikes be able to park in the shade after a ride and let their body stretch and straighten back out before going out for another ride. Read moreBeautiful scenery and peaceful area. Was a great location for flying my drone, captured some really nice footage. Because of the winding road it's a great route for a motorcycle or 3-wheeler Can Am. I had just done a tour Friday on a Can Am through this area and with the twists and turns, it's a fun ride! Looking forward to going out there again. Only downside is parking can be difficult...
Read moreParking lot provides plenty of space. There are trails branching out from there. You can't enter the damn but it does surmount to a great place to stop at wonder at the big ole thing. The trails are easy to hike/jog through with the some nifty crevices to jump over. Theres a tiny hut overseeing the dam underneath some trees. Thought that was interesting....
