This park was easy to get to, easy to find parking, easy to unload kayak, and had some nice local people that we talked to. We also noticed a couple of police cars come through oh, I assumed they were doing routine checks. although it did seem like the kind of Park where people would go to do things they shouldn't be doing. The bathroom was clean, and again we were really impressed by how easy the boat ramp was to use oh, just a nice gentle slope into the river and then a quick paddle out the shark's tooth island. Highly recommend the park for paddling, but I can only imagine how bad the bugs would be during the warmer months. as we are putting our kayaks into the water, they're being eaten alive...
Read moreI’ve been here a few times over the years. Generally a nice visit without to much excitement. With its location a little far removed, there generally are not pan handlers or others looking for a spot to handle illicit activities. On occasion there have been those situations I’ve see. But local law enforcement does a great job in keeping this park free of the problems so your family can enjoy the park without hindrance. If you’re in the area give this park a try. Read moreGreat place to catch blue crabs on the pier. Be warn though, there is NO shade other than the picnic place. So if ur going to go crabbing, be prepared to get sunburnt or use sunblock, especially on a hot day. Also there's alligators, if you're lucky you might see them in the evening.
This place gets packed easily, first come first serve. Great place to Kayak 5* for Kayaking/boats, everything else 2*
