What an amazing random "gem" of an attraction in the middle of this unsuspecting hospitable little beach side town. Carrabelle was my randomly but carefully picked birthday destination this past December. And the bottle house was my last destination in this nice town before taking the drive back home. Surprisingly it was hard for me to spot the night before when I was looking for it. Definitely a country town, there are no street lights in this neighborhood. Even with Google maps it eluded me, so I would suggest plotting it out before dark, especially if you are used to street lights and if you were traveling alone, like myself. So I saw it in the daytime, but it was just as amazing I'm sure. Very unsuspecting looking, so look for the bottle lighthouse! This guy who is an artist and was an art teacher just decided to retire here with his wife, looked to her one day and told her he wanted to build a bottle house, bought this property and the rest is history! It is his personal property with his house just on the other side, so being respectful is appreciated. They have a very sweet poodle that came right up to me while I was looking around =) I was alone, but depending on the season I'm sure it gets a bit more populated. No entrance fee, just a donation if you feel persuaded to do so. I'm so glad I got to see this before I left Carrabelle, it made my trip that much more special

Beautiful koi fish 🐠 Wish I was closer to volunteer to help clean it up a little. I imagine donations aren't ample, but I would offer the suggestion to put a locked box instead of the glass jar out in the open.. I did NOT feel secure leaving a donation in the glass jar. Just a friendly suggestion.. overall, it's a free attraction & someone talented definitely did their thing with this little spot.

What a cool and eclectic place to visit! Chatting with the lady of the house was so fun, and she introduced us to one of her Standard Poodles, who was a precious dog they adopted as a rescue. She told us the stories of some of her husband's creations, and we enjoyed chatting with her. Definitely a great place to stop and experience something unique with an Asheville, NC vibe in the FL panhandle.

Charming Stop at Carrabelle Bottle House – A Must-Visit! 🏠🍾

The Carrabelle Bottle House is a small but incredibly charming spot that’s definitely worth a visit! This unique little gem is built using thousands of glass bottles, creating a visually stunning and quirky structure. It’s not a big place, but the creativity and craftsmanship that went into it make it a must-see.

The atmosphere is peaceful, and the Bottle House itself is a perfect example of how something simple can be turned into something extraordinary. It’s a great place to snap some photos and take in the interesting history behind the structure.

If you're in the area, don't miss the chance to check it out—it's a fun, off-the-beaten-path stop that adds a bit of local character to...
