Such a treasure! Carrboro Community Garden is a wonderful example of what volunteers can do when a town gives support by providing land and some materials. When I checked it out last spring I was welcomed warmly. I was given a tour of the garden. I was offered as much or as little gardening instructions for me to begin participating. My questions were welcomed and answered kindly. For me, participating here has meant I could do a bit of gardening again (which I can't do otherwise since I now live in an apartment) and an opportunity to become a part of our local community.
