Carroll Commons — Attraction in Carroll Valley

Went to the annual July 4th celebration and it was wonderful! Music by The Reagan Years, an 80's cover band was excellent. Had us all singing along! They had a nice selection of food trucks available. Funnel cakes were yummy!!! Restrooms were available. Fireworks were outstanding. Kudos to the committee who planned it. Carroll Commons Park is a lovely venue anytime. Nice walking trails, a creek, play areas, picnic tables and more. The municipal building is on site which houses the.police department and the library. Cute park with a lake, creek, walking path, and a couple of playgrounds. Bathrooms are in the nearby library / activities building. You can also park at that building.

There's a short path, and a bridge that connects the main park area to the lake. You're free to walk around one side of the lake, and you can fish there. The other side of the lake is private property.

Overall, it's a nice spot to spend an hour or so with the kids. There's plenty of shade near the event building that's onsite, which is also near the playgrounds. You might also catch a wedding...

Very pleasant park. Has a walking trail, a couple of pavilions, creek, and lake access. There are events such as movie shows and a Halloween gathering. Early autumn had HS cheerleader practices. Located by a county library branch. There are many recent tree transplants. Will be nice in a few a years. Knocks are that the park is located besides a relatively noisy road and one can't circle the lake as half is...
