The park is fantastic! Beautiful, and clean! The people have been kind, and pups very friendly.

However, today after receiving unsolicited negative comments from a random man I’m hesitant to return. My dogs come here 2-4 times a day, for a little over a month now, and we’ve made many friends—both human and canine. This morning, my 1-year-old German Shepherds were running through the large park, letting out a few barks. We were completely alone on the big dog side. I’ve seen plenty of dogs chase and bark at others from the opposite side of the fence, so I didn’t realize this would be an issue for the people of Carrollton.

If you see this, King of the Karen’s, my dogs are allowed to bark. Barking does not make them bad dogs just because they barked at yours from the other side of the fence.

This interaction was...

I reviewed before going. I was truly excited, even told my gf she was going to love this amazing dog park. Wrong. The pond was cycloned off, locked. The entire area around Mckinnish Park is beautiful...however the dog park is ordinary. Nothing eventful or special. It is a nice size, big square fenced area for both small and large dogs. But nothing extra. Instead turn on Mckinnish street, go all the way down and you will find a Natural preserve where your dog will enjoy the walk. Definitely don't drive out to Coppell, thinking as I did that it was going to be a marvelous dog park....

There are 3 parks... Small dog park...big dog park, and a common area in the middles with small ponds. The parks are a large size for all dogs to be able to run and play. The water fountains all work which is great considering some of the nearby dog parks have theirs shut off due to COVID 19. There are also plenty of bag stations and a dog wash station in each park. I took a star off for lighting. I know the parks close at sunset, but ballpark areas have plenty of lighting in the parking lot whereas the dog park...

We've already been twice in 10 days and can't wait to go again. 2 of my 4 dogs require a TON of exercise and a walk just doesn't cut it so the room to run and water feature are great! My Tucker, who by no means is a water breed, loves his tennis ball so much he's in the water before I have to say "go get it". Needless to say he's tuckered out by the time we have to go home. Tip: bring towels and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. If it's not your dog getting you dirty it's someone else's fluffer jumping up to say hi

This park is such a great dog park I detour to it every Monday on my way home to Frisco after dropping my husband at the airport. The dogs *love* their visit, of course, but I'm especially happy because of all the shade trees and the pond. AND, if you venture out a bit, there's great options for leashed walks and even several nice areas to sit and sip a coffee if you like. Oh! There are even rest rooms in other parts of the park. I arrived at sunrise last week and was treated with a beautiful view of the pond.

Recent rains have left 2 areas flooded in some parts, seem pictures. Big dog park for all sizes. Usually it is well stocked with pickup bags but you know sometimes you just have to search around in other play areas. Not a big deal. We come here everyday and my dog loves it. There are some dogs that could be made to behave as far as attacking other dogs when showing dominance is concerned. But I have never seen a big fight too, just keep an eye as always. As season changes the regulars change their timings too.
