The trail around the immediate perimeter of Spooner Lake is essentially flat -- a couple miles but flat. For those who need to take "gentler" walks, this trail should be fine for you. For non-mountain folk, because the lake is at just about 7000 feet in elevation, you might hesitate -- but, given the flat trail, this trail should be fine for you.
