Davis Drive Park — Attraction in Cary

We came to this park on April 26, 2025 from Greensboro to attend a birthday celebration. The first thing that we noticed was that the shelter had not been cleaned.The public restrooms were closed because of a water leak and they had portable toilets. The water dispenser outside at toilets had run out of water and had not been replenished. It seems like the City of Cary is not doing a good job maintaining these public facilities. The park itself was in a good location with a large field. The playground was too small. They had soccer matches going in the large field today. The fact that they did not have running water (because they did not do the repairs on time) in a public park is inexcusable. My friend informed me that the park facilities were aware of the problem but did not fix it in a timely manner. It is a health hazard that affects all the kids. I personally didnot want my kids to use the portable toilet, but did not have a choice. This could be a great park if it is...

Great park! There's a playground, basketball court (two hoops), two fields (mostly for soccer games), as well as a pathway around the big field for walking. They have just added a new trail with two beautiful murals and an overpass overhead. The wooden bridge goes through a wetland-like environment, so there are many bugs. There's often bikers, walkers, and athletes here. The shelter can also be reserved for events, and they come with restrooms as well. Two parking lots are available with plenty of space for your car. It's good for playing sports, taking children out for a fun time, or even having a relaxing walk throughout...

Small little playground for kids, could use an update to it or maybe it’s okay I’m just used to seeing colorful modern playgrounds. It’s still enjoyable for my younger kids to play at. It’s connected to the greenway! Which is always good if you want to take a brisk walk or a long walk as all the paths connect. Has a tunnel with a cute painting to it. Also, has like a track around the open field to run/walk. Has bathrooms available and a shelter to have a lunch at. A soccer field is also available and has a decent size basketball court.
