Hoffman Park — Attraction in Cary

This is not a reflection on the park. It is more of a reflection on some of the people of Cary. I was on the bike path in July with my daughter. There were a couple of young black men who were making a rap video. We stopped and watched oh, they were very nice, drressed normally and polite. They were doing nothing wrong. As we were leaving, the police showed up. They watch them from a distance for a couple minutes, then left. Kudos to the cops. Shame on the person who called the cops on these young black males. It disturbs me that the only reason the cops were called is because they were black. I came back and apologized to these guys for the cops being called on them. We found this park while looking for a nice view to park and eat lunch. The view is pretty, there's a giant dog park, community garden, and clean bathrooms. Then we decided to go for a walk around the trails and it is GORGEOUS! The walk was longer than I expected but we found a short cut threw the farm land in the center and back to our car. There's also a Frisbee Golf course along the trails which seemed to be what most of the people we saw were doing on...

This large park has paved paths and dirt trails through farm fields and wooded areas, a dog park, community garden, fishing lake, and a new professional level disc golf course. A beautiful escape into the countryside that is still right here...
