By far, this is one of the greatest park we have been to. My kids, particularly love, love the splash pad. Even though it’s smaller than other splash pads there’s a lot of water flow so it’s easy to get soaking wet in a matter of minutes. Completely kid approved and this Mama loved hanging out with my kid in that splash pad. We both got soaking wet. The bathrooms were clean and they were family bathrooms as well. There’s a walking trail with big ceramic sheep, and it is paved so perfect for strollers and wagons. There’s also picnic benches in plenty of places to stay in the shade. This place was amazing.

What a great park! A variety of things to do here. We love visiting at all times of the year. During the summer, they have a great splash pad. Multiple play areas, swings, a rock wall. There is one main shelter and various tables with some shade. There is a walking trail and a dog park. Bathrooms are close to the splash pad and shelter. The whirligigs are pretty cool to look at too. The park is well kept but it can get busy and hot on the summer weekends. Bring drinking water. As a reminder, this park is not exempt from thieves, so be sure to lock valuables out of site and lock your car!

Jack Smith Park and Sprayground is the place to be in Cary during the summertime. If you have a hot, humid day, bring your kids to the Sprayground to cool off. There are plenty of shady spots for parents to chill, a rock climbing area for older kids, and a playground for kids that may not like the water. There's also an easily accessible restroom right beside the Sprayground. The best part about the splash pad is that they reclaim and recycle water, so there is little to no waste of water at this park.

My family (kids 5, 3, & 1) all loved this park! The splash pad doesn’t have great options for very little ones, it’s more big sprinklers/sprayers but we found a spot we could park our water loving littles while his big sisters played. My 5 year old loved the rock wall, but I definitely think there should be a ladder for getting down as my husband had to physically assist a 9 year old girl who had climbed to the top then was stuck. I’d be willing to guess this has happened before. The playground was lots of fun, with a small park for younger kids and lots of things to climb on for older kids (older meaning maybe 5-9 yrs). There was a wonderful (beautiful!) open space down from the park, and I loved the whirligigs and introducing my kids to them since I grew up around them (near Wilson). Highly recommend a visit to this park while the...

The park was fairly clean, with interesting play equipment for a range of ages, with a big field and a paved path circling the whole play area. It was easy to find a vantage point to see both play areas, the rock climbing structure, the field and the path if you have kids of multiple ages running in different directions. The splash pad looked like it would be nice in the summer, although it appeared to be small. A dog park is also part of the park and is located far from the playground with trees for buffers, so the dogs will not be affected by wild children. The park is not very large but it has nice amenities and was a great place to let the kids burn off energy for a...

Like most of Town of Cary facilities this one is top notch. We go mostly for the dog park which has limited shade, basically only the small picnic shelter, in the middle of the day until the trees mature once the sun is closer to setting there is plenty. (This review is written in summer then shade is desirable). The splash pad at the park is amazing but is better for younger kids. My kids started to be bored with it more quickly at around 9 or 10. The picnic shelter is huge and makes for a wonderful picnic. As my boys got older they really started to enjoy the rock climbing wall, but on a hot summer day the lack of shade limits their desire to spend much time there or on...
