This is the worst YMCA I've ever been to. In fact, it's the worst gym I've ever been to. I wish I could give it less than a star. My family and I went there today to play some basketball. It was open gym and a group of guys were playing full court. An employee by the name of, Stephen, said that he would tell them to play half court so that we can play. We didn't want to make them do that, so we waited. After the 3rd game was up, we took our turn on half of the court to play. A few minutes into our game they started playing full court right on top of us. Not only did they throw my ball away, but they threatened to kick me "a**" and told me to step outside. After being threatened multiple times, for doing what we were allowed to during open gym, "play basketball," even after we waited our turn, I had had enough. I asked Stephen, the employee, to get there manager. The manager came in and did a good job defusing the situation; however, he made me and my family get off the court and plowed them to play a new game. After confirming this was open gym time for all to play, he agreed and confirmed, but did nothing about it. After telling him I was threatened, he did NOTHING about it. He didn't even ask for my name or even cared about my safety. This was the MANAGER. Marco Ramirez. All he did was apologize, yet he completely compromised my family's membership rights and did nothing when we were threatened. Upon leaving, another lady was complaining about the same thing, concerned for the safety of her and her young child who just wanted to play basketball. Not only will I not return toga location, but I will be contacting Betsy Peters, and I hope she's reading this right now. I have never seen a situation held so poorly from upper management in my life. I will never suggest this place to anyone and will give the most honest feed back I can on every social media platform so that families will know that this establishment is not a safe place for their families. My family is pulling there membership and my wife and I will never...
Read moreThis review is specifically for the kids summer camp, Camp Crossroads. People are nice, facilities are good with one Glaring exception--they have NO bathrooms outside the main building; not even a porta potty. So the kids walk several minutes to the fishing/archery/BB Gun area or the wooded area out back where they are essentially trapped until the end of the session. There isn't enough staff to escort kids back to the building to go to the bathroom, so they simply don't bother.
Our daughter had multiple accidents during the course of the summer--both kinds. I attempted to talk to the staff director and left increasingly hateful messages on multiple occasions and no one ever bothered to call me back.
Needless to say, we won't be back. If your kid(s) are old enough to hold it for a few hours on command, then this looks like a decent place. If, however, you have younger kids do yourself and their self esteem a favor and look elsewhere. If I had known our 7-year-old would not...
Read moreI've been going to this location for over a year now and I love the childcare they offer, it's clean and for most part the staff is friendly. But I've had a couple of situations where they came and told me to not scroll on my phone. I checked my phone to make sure the daycare did not need me to come get my son and to respond quickly to a message. I was in-between sets, probably 5 secs looking at my phone. But I was compliant and put my phone away. Both times I looked around and noticed 5+ people scrolling on their phones, all of which spent minutes on them. Sitting on the machines looking down at their phones. Once being told is fine, but second time being told and only telling me while the girl in front of me sitting on the machine have been on her phone since I started my set. Maybe if you're going to uphold a policy make sure it's being told to...
