This is a pretty nice park. I would give it 5 stars, but the walking trails are a bit lackluster. They're paved, and there are dog waste stations along them, but the scenery is boring. Just a bunch of overgrowth on the edges of the property. And they pretty much just border the park itself, so you don't really feel like you're going anywhere. I prefer park trails that go through the woods and past ponds or marshes so you might catch a glimpse of some wildlife.

That being said, it is a large park with multiple areas to park. There are a few different pavilion areas, a dog park for small dogs, and one for large dogs, there are tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball diamond, and a pretty expansive frolf course. I know they have a couple playgrounds, but I didn't get a close...

Neat little park just off the freeway and next to the airport. We come here every couple weeks for a BBQ with friends and end up staying until dusk most times.

The facilies are always clean, BBQ grills ready for coals, and the landscaping manicured.

The only gripe I have is that (sometimes) after a heavy rain, the grass remains a bit soggy, so if you're playing disc golf (see other review) you'll want to bring shoes that can handle a bit of mud. This is Michigan after all, so I'm not docking it points for that. Just man up and have fun!

Oh and it has a MASSIVE fenced in dog park!

Other facilities/sporting items I've seen: Basketball, disc golf, baseball, softball, tennis, running, walking, play structure, and...

I bring my dog here all the time. He loves it and gets all excited when we get close. This is my favorite dog park in grand rapids. They've got a water fountain for humans and dogs. There is a side for large breed and a side for smaller breed dogs. My miniature schnauzer likes to play frisbee here. There is a very large track that goes around the whole park that you can get a good walk on. The park has frisbee golf, soccer, tennis, basketball, and a playground for the kids. They have pavilions for parties that i'm pretty sure you can reserve. This is a great place to get...

I'm coming from middleville,so this park I must say is a must go if you have children that loves jungle Jim's ,spiderwebs, slides, and swings galore even on an inter tube made for two.And when your done have a picnic and then a hike on all their trails they have hikers and families and a place for your furry friends too in their gated dog park. I suggest this place to everyone.

A fantastic, flowing park that's well maintained and features abundant amenities (children's playground, clean bathrooms, enclosed dog park that's segmented for large and small dogs, walking trails, several soccer pitches, softball diamonds, tennis courts, picnic pavilions, disc golf course, etc.).
