My first encounter with Bike The Gorge was over the phone with Ben. We were visiting from San Diego and we had our own Lectric bikes with us. My bike had an error code and I couldn’t fix it. I called to see if I could get some info on the error code so we could fix it and move on with our ride. Ben kindly pulled up the Lectric owner’s manual online and read the reference I needed. This was above what would be expected from a bike rental company. He took the time to try to help us over the phone. Since we didn’t have the correct tools to fix it, the next day I decided to rent from BTG. I didn’t want to miss out on this riding adventure that we’d been looking forward to. Although my husband had his Lectric bike, I rented two from BTG. What a great ride we had! We followed the detailed map that Ben gave us and visited several waterfalls. BTG supplied locks so we could lock up our bikes and hike to the waterfalls. It was a gorgeous day at the end of September and we had a great ride. We wanted to stay out longer, so I texted Ben to add on another hour and he took care of it. We loved the hills because with the e-bikes we had no problem going up hill and we had a blast flying down the hills and through the woods. The bikes were in great condition. The tires had the right amount of air, the chains were clean, the bike was clean, and the brakes were tightened. BTG supplies helmets and rents waterproof bags if needed to store your lunch and belongings in. Ben was very professional and kind. We had a great experience with Bike The Gorge and we highly recommend it to others. What a great thing it is to be able to rent bikes and not have to take them all over with you on vacation. My son comes to Portland quite often and I’m going to recommend that he and his guy friends take a ride with BTG’s Lectric bikes. I know they’ll love it. If you’re on the fence about renting e-bikes, get off the fence and on the bike! You won’t regret it. 🚲

You have to "Bike the Gorge" These guys are amazing. This is a wonderful way to spend a day. From biking in the quaint little town of Cascade Locks to picnicking on the shores of the Columbia @ Viento State Park you'll find an entire day of living the dream! This was my first E bike experience. The owners made it a wonderful renting experience. They make sure you are comfortable and answer anything asked. They will rescue you if your unfortunate enough to need help while out and about. They make sure you know where you're going. And if they keep expanding this already 5 star business, hopefully they will be offering guided tours for those more reluctant to venture alone. This is an easy to navigate area with some challenging hills, but with the E assist I made minced meat out of them. The bike are incredible. Very nice quality. Top of the line maintenance. Powerful on the hills. I was so impressed. The ride takes you in and out of forest, along Interstate 84, which is incredible to ride above. You have the opportunity to stop at 5 different waterfalls along the way, one of which you can climb behind is you have the proper foot wear. When you reach the park, there's an easy access the to river. There you can enjoy a picnic, dip in the water and watch the wind surfers up close. All I can say is that this is a great experience and "Bike the Gorge" are the guys you want to make it happen. They are a hidden gem with the perfect location, the best service. We are already planning another trip and bringing our friends. They have gift cards too!! If you love your friends, you'll send them to the Gorge!!

My wife & I did the 30 mile / 5 hour trip. This included biking to Cascade Locks, crossing the Bridge of the Gods, and on to Stevenson. This portion of the trip was primarily on frontage roads and secondary roads with limited traffic. A short section of road (< 1 mile?) from Bridge of the Gods to Stevenson was more heavily trafficked, but cars generally gave wide berth. We returned to the original meeting point (Wyeth Park) and continued on to Viento Park - 4 miles each direction of an out and back). This last portion was on a paved trail that generally parallels Interstate 84, passing through forested sections and by the various waterfalls mentioned on the website. Vistas along the second portion of the trip (Wyeth to Viento) were amazing with great views at various times up and down the river. Bike the Gorge was excellent, staff were responsive and helpful. We found the trip played out as described on the website. The bikes were in good shape and performed well. The helmets provide for helmet-to-helmet communication which is a great benefit! The ebikes made for an easy ride - easiest 30 miles biking I've ever done. I would do the trip again!

I recently rented an electric bike from Bike the Gorge and it was an absolute blast! From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless and enjoyable.

First of all, their brand new fleet of e-bikes is fantastic. The pedal-assist power made exploring the Gorge a breeze, allowing me to cover more ground and take in the breathtaking scenery effortlessly. Riding these e-bikes was an exhilarating experience that added an extra element of excitement to my adventure.

One of the major highlights of renting from Bike the Gorge was the opportunity to escape the car traffic. Their recommended routes took me along the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail, which offered stunning views and, best of all, minimal car traffic. I could truly immerse myself in the beauty of the surroundings without any distractions, thanks to the 9+ miles of car-free bike path.

The team at Bike the Gorge went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable time. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist in building my Gorge itinerary. Their recommendations for local places to eat, drink, and explore were spot-on, making my entire trip even more enjoyable. It's clear that they genuinely care about their customers' experiences and go the extra mile to make them unforgettable.

I also appreciated their convenient reservation system. Booking online, by phone, or in-person was a breeze, and they provided the flexibility to reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before the start time, which added a level of convenience and peace of mind.

Overall, my experience with Bike the Gorge was outstanding. If you're looking for an exceptional electric bike rental service that allows you to explore the Gorge with ease, look no further. Their top-notch equipment, low-traffic routes, and friendly staff make them the perfect choice for an unforgettable...

This was truly a magical experience. I've lived in Oregon for nearly 30 years and have been to the gorge many times with Multnomah Falls being the final destination on some waterfall tours by car. With company coming into town and Multnomah Falls being just a fraction of the experience it used to be because of the fire damage/repair, I thought I'd opt for something new. This e-bike rental turned out to be super cool, and starts further east of the classic Multnomah waterfall series. We got to explore new terrain and lesser known, but very charming waterfall destinations. The parking lot meet point with Bike the Gorge is conveniently right off the highway, then it's only 1 minute on the bikes and you hop on a car free bike path for the rest of the way. It's just an amazing path with incredible gorge views offering a very smooth and safe ride that literally anyone of any age or physical condition can do. The recommended stops along the path are easy to find and all very short walks. You can bike in pretty close to all these falls before the pavement ends and you have to lock the bikes and walk. A saddlebag is provided for free (one per reservation group) and can fit a lot of stuff you might bring (water bottles, snacks, cell phones, light jackets etc). The bikes also have nice sturdy cell phone holders so you can scan the QR code on the frame, mount the phone on the handlebars, and follow the recommended trail via Google maps. As others have mentioned, 3 hours is plenty of time, so you don't need to feel rushed. Much of the path is in shaded woods, and anything that is not is usually sweeping views of this stunning area! This will be a go-to adventure now for out of town guests. Bike the Gorge does a great job providing excellent bikes and making...
