If you want a nice spot for a picnic to watch the sunset, this is the place. There are almost 270° views of the surrounding mountains from the highest vantage point. There are picnic tables, an outhouse, parking at least until 5 pm when the gates close, and carry out what you brought in. However, you can walk up after that and stay until sunset. One of my favorite spots in Casco. Hacker’s Hill is seriously such a gem. The views from the top are absolutely stunning! Mountains, lake, just pure magic, especially around sunset. It’s peaceful and open, and it feels like you’re on top of the world.

I love bringing my dog here for a walk. It’s perfect for that. There’s space to roam, fresh air, and it’s never too crowded.

Highly recommend if you want a quiet, beautiful place to reset, and your dog will probably love it even more...

Enjoy a spectacular view of the White Mountain range in the distance while enjoying the lovely sunset. You can pick fresh raspberries while up there too. The gate at the bottom of the hill is locked on Tuesdays and Thursdays so be prepared to climb a very steep hill. Otherwise, you can drive up to the top, which is much more pleasant.
