This was my second time attending their July 4th event and it was again very well done. The parade started earlier in the day at 11 am which provided a cooler and more enjoyable experience for everyone. The band that was responsible for the musical entertainment (sorry, I don't remember their name) was very good. They also had a good variety of vendors to purchase eats, cold beverages, and your favorite icy desserts. The town itself was very welcoming from the local patrons up to the mayor himself, James Alston! It is a family-friendly environment with something for everyone. Read moreI like that the playground has 2 different areas of playground equipment - one for ages 2-5 and the other 5-12. The playground has nice large shaded awnings in some spots which is appreciated. There are also some swings, little spring riders, etc. The park also includes a large covered area with lots of picnic tables and some grills, a big soccer field and a walking path with work out spots along the way.
