While I understand the need to protect wildlife in our parks, what EBRPD did was unacceptable. For those of us involved with TNR, EBRPD did the unthinkable. Instead of trying to work with colony caretakers to try to relocate well managed feral cats, they brutally shot and killed them. These cats were spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and well cared for. I'm sure if given the option between trying to trap and remove the cats or let them get shot, the caretakers would have worked harder at re-trapping and relocating the cats.
