We just had a kids party Saturday 10/7/17. I reserved the Large Pavillion and paid online with no problem. I own 3 moon bouncers and asked if i can have all three at the party, I was told yes. I had to go in person to get my reservations notarized taking responsibility for any injuries on the moon bounce. The day of the party the we plugged in our 3 moon bouncers and the grounds keeper seem to have a problem with it. The breaker couldn't keep enough power for all 3 moon bouncers on so we had to call the grounds keeper over to turn it back on. He came over upset and told me i couldn't have 3 moon bouncers and he wasn't going too keep coming over to fix the breaker. He said this to me in front of my guest. I did get upset i told him i made arrangements for all three but he turned the breaker back on and left. As the party ended he came over again and offered to turn the light on but we had to move our vehicles, my father in law told him no thank you that we were just cleaning up the mess and leaving. The grounds keeper told my father in law its looks good and took the bag of trash from the trashcan and left. We were just about done packing up 3 moon bouncers when a police officer showed saying he just received a call saying we were refusing to leave... I explained to the officer we were in no way refusing to leave we were just trying to get our things to leave. This grounds keeper is rude and has no people skills. I even feel he was just being racist toward us since we are Latinos!! My guest saw for themselves how this man was and would never consider having a party there because of this.. the park is beautiful and peacefully but the grounds keeper is a JERK!!!...
Read moreThis is in response to Gee Man. I am the park ranger and I would like to clarify some points that you made. I do know what incident you are talking about, because your "witnesses" came to me later that day and reported it. You should have been the one to report it so it could have been handled immediately. I don't know who the person was who "stared you down" while on a bicycle, but I do not ride a bike. As far as the person going through your backpack, when I was told about it I did confront that volunteer and he stated that he was trying to see who it belonged to. I explained that that wasn't necessary for him to do, and this incident was reported to my superior that same day. Please feel free to come back to Regional Park and meet me. I drive a green gator that says "park ranger" on the back. There are other green gators in the park that are used by volunteers to help clean. I hope in the future if you have a problem somewhere you will get your facts straight before posting it on the internet, as we work hard here at Regional Park to maintain a clean, friendly, family atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. ...
