Happy dogs, enough space to do your own thing, perfect weather, people cleaning up after themselves, be careful pulling on and off the highway. If you're visiting, keep it clean if you want places like this to remain as hidden in plain sight and accessible as they are. If you have an unfriendly dog...... Leash them and socialize properly, don't bring them to a place where other dogs can run around in circles while they are restrained. People volunteer to place and dispose of the trash bags at the entrance, provide dog poop bags, ECT. Have consideration and respect for those who do things because they are the right thing to do, even if it costs them...

This is a great beach where you can let your dog run free on a leash! Don't walk too far away toward Morro Strand or beyond or you could end up with a ticket for having your dog on the beach outside of allowance. Most people are pretty conscientious about keeping aggressive dogs on leashes if they bring them, and they're also pretty good about cleaning up after their dogs. Be sure to bring baggies to pack out anything your dog leaves behind since that will impact the wildlife on the ocean and on the beach. It's a great place to let your dog run off-leash and away from the highway since it's...

We were in a great, open fresh sea air, distancing ability beach spot. Loved it! Occasionally visited by friendly dogs. I wanted to bring my cat....very glad that I didn't. Lol. The people were very respectful to eachother, which was impressive. To boot, so were the dogs! For those of us who haven't been to Morrow Bay in years, there are beach front homes where the beach strip is & very little parking. Be prepared to walk a ways to the beach gate. The Dog Beach is well worth visiting. Dogs don't mind if you didn't bring your furry...

My dog died. I went to Paso Robles (thank you Eden/West Coast Pet Memorial for being AMAZING) to see him one last time. I decided to spend the rest of the day near the beach to clear my head. Looked for a beach, but found this dog beach on my way to a brunch spot I wanted to try. Spent a couple hours watching some good boys and girls enjoy their special little puppy lives on the beach and it certainly healed a little bit of my broken heart. Very pleasant and clean beach.

Been going here for over thirty years. Spent my summers living with my grandparents, right across hwy 01. The rock formations have definitely changed. But the shelling, while being respectful and ecologically responsible, is amazing. Be careful on the rocks. They get slippery, can be sharp, and the waves can come in out of nowhere. Definitely worth the stop. Glad I got to share this experience with someone who has never even seen the Pacific, or been to California.
