Morro Strand State Beach Day Use Area — Attraction in Cayucos

Wonderful place to walk, especially for older people or people who have issues with stairs. I can always get a beautiful sunset picture here. My only issue with this beach and it is the same issue I have with all California State beaches, is the leash law that is not enforced. The law is there for a reason, let's try and remember that. Also, our beaches are NOT your dog's facilities, it one thing if you are going for a walk and you pick it up, another if you take your dog there to just use the facilities. Beautiful on a sunny day! Blue water in a crescent moon-shaped beach, and a view of Morro Rock. Have to set up back from the tide, tho, due to washed-up ocean plants and flies that swarm up if you step on the dead bunches of flora. CAUTION: On sunny days, the sand is Very Hot!!
