10/26/24 We are a family of 10 this year. We have visited this farm every year. Every year it has been a good experience. I've heard many comments/complaints about customer dissatisfaction, but NEVER like this year. In the past I noticed that this farm had bad reviews, one I remember was a lady reviewing on Google saying, she just wanted to buy donuts and had to pay $25 when she wasn't going to actually visit the rest of the farm. This year, I can totally understand. The farm should have a stand to sell if they don't want to come in. We purchased our tickets online. When we got there, we got our wristbands. When we were coming to the next stop, a lady was checking wristbands. As this lady is checking my son's wrist, she starts screaming on my son's ear at someone else telling him, "Hey, let me see your wristband!" It startled my child, and the man looked embarrassed. Now my problem with this situation is that this is the second face of the farm. You guys should either make the path narrow, so customers know to wait, or how about having a BIG sign. Or... Have two, maybe three people, checking wristbands if it's that serious. Honestly, I was over this farm after witnessing such behavior. Especially when it wasn't the man's fault, this lady didn't want to stand, so you couldn't see her. The rides are old, squeaky, and rusty. Make sure to get your tetanus shot, just in case. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The "FU Slide" sign tells you exactly how they feel this year about their customers. They obviously don't care to fix their sign. They just want your money. You will get a disgusting whiff of those nasty potatoe sacks. Prepare for the farm, I recommend boots that are easy to clean as you will get muddy. Make sure your pants have thick material, like jeans. In October, it is usually cold and windy, prepare for that. Sunglasses are a must! Ladies, bring your hair coils as you might have to put your hair up. Take a lot of pics before. I think after a few years of coming here, it is safe to say: This is the kind of farm you and your children will only enjoy if you come the most 3 times. Especially when their crew gets worse at customer service. As I waited to order food, I heard so many people complain about the prices. I thought we all knew the price of living has gone up. Anyhow, I believe if you are going to keep up with inflation, at least have your staff be more sanitary. I watched them have gloves but touched the register/screen, handled payment, and touched the food with the same gloves. 😆 The fries are cold by the time you get your sandwich. The pulled pork looks like cat food or something from a can. I only recommend the donuts. I stopped at the sweet spot pink truck. A young lady wearing a lot of pink took my order. I did not care to ask her name, but she was very condescending. I started by saying I want 3 dozen donuts. Only 6 pumpkin & the sundae. I am not sure if this girl was really hard of hearing or at understanding, but I repeated myself 5 times. My teen daughter even told her what I said, and her tone was very funny. "Ooookay, wait, but... I am still so confused." The other 2 girls in the truck never tried to help her, and so I can think that Ms. Pinky thought she was cute. My daughter and I laughed at her as we were used to this type of behavior. We know who we are, and we don't know this young girl, but she looks a bit silly. Why is she in charge of taking orders if she gets confused easy, maybe she should be in the back. Also, why was she speaking like she lives in Beverly Hills when she works on a farm? The ending, we usually go on the hayride but not this time. I wanted this visit to end. I usually buy my kids anything they want on the way out, but I only bought my children pumpkins and candy. I just wanted to leave, and we won't be coming back. I support small farms, but this farm has changed, and we go where we feel appreciated. Do I recommend it? If you don't mind everything that I mentioned. Go for it. If not, go to elsewhere. Thank you to whomever took the time to...
Read moreOUT. OF. YOUR. DANG. MINDS. Let me preface this with we USED to come here for the last 4 years-ish. However the fees have shot through the roof and for much less. 24$ just to walk in and hit the pumpkin patch!? Y'all must have lost it. So many lost sale opportunities because of your ridiculous "door fee". We had no desire to do any carnival attractions. Sometimes people just want to come in for a donut... Or a gourd ...or... A PUMPKIN! Greedy. Fortunately Kregals was 15 minutes away from H. T. They were so reasonably priced we actually decided to stay and enjoy some of the relevant recycled farm attractions. Such a brilliant way to spread out everything mixing animal pens with attractions. Not only did Kregals offer an amazing refreshing experience but we STILL spent less than the absurd H.T. door fee for 3 charged heads. I highly recommend skipping Harvest Tyme and heading over to Kregals in Lowell for a wonderful pumpkin patch with excellent attractions for young (under 5) kids. Harvest Tyme really needs to figure out if they are going to be a pumpkin patch or a tired lame excuse for a carnival. You had more rides last year but you had no problem doubling your price for this year. Times are hard for everyone that's understandable but this greedy route was not the way to go. County line orchard is probably the biggest tourist trap experience and they still have their entrance fees at 2$! NOT 24! Our entire trip to county line (2 parents + 2 kids) with attractions cost less than your attempt today H.T. Finally we know you are carting us out to a field that's already been cut down and ravaged. We all know we are just traipsing through a run down field you are just dumping pumpkins in on a daily basis. Is that really worth 24$ to you? Actually I hope it was worth 72$ because that's precisely how much you lost with your absurdity. Do better Harvest Tyme. Until then I HIGHLY recommend Kregals down...
Read moreI am a little late in writing this review. We went in September, the last Saturday of the Unicorn festival, the kids had SO MUCH FUN and my heart is WARMED. My heart is warmed not only because my kids had fun, but the people working there are very nice.
We were waiting for one of the unicorn ride, the attendant asked me how my day is going. In other places, attendants avoid eye contact with you (and I don't blame them, they are so peopled-out). In the picture session after the Troll Live, there was a little kid that was sensory sensitive, the attendant/MC took notice and shut off the music so the parent can get a better picture. My 4 and 7 year old love the fun slide, they went up about 20 times in the last hour before closing. I can no longer walk the 2 stories to help my 4 year old, bless the attendant on top who watch over my 4 year old who might need a little help. Afterward my 4 year old told me the attendant said her shirt is pretty. This just shows how the many employees are focusing on the children and genuinely want to give them a great time!
We really had so much fun that weekend, it was a drive for us but we hope to be back next year! The only recommendation is communicating the show time, we missed the first half because we didn't know it was scheduled (and the show was good!).
ps: I read another reviewer did not have very good experience, it maybe an off day, but it just shows how employees can make or break customer satisfaction. I am sure the owner will...
