A great getaway from the city! Picturesque views and scenery! Did some camping here without doing a pre-reservation, just came early enough to snag an open camping spot. Our camping spot was decked out with a picnic table, a bare area to place our tent, and potable water for the campground was provided just walking distance away. Really nice! If you are in need of supplies, there is a lodge about a mile down the road (recommend to drive) that provides any needed essentials from water, ice, and firewood.

Our camp manager, Oz, was friendly enough at first glance and he and his wife do a great job managing the site and making sure everything is attended to properly. However, he came across very impertinent towards my party and some friends visiting which we didn't take kindly. He started asking us questions whether we paid for the days camping there (which we did by leaving an envelope in the box) and have the tags to prove it to him. Some minutes later he starts interrogating us again if we paid and we told him we did. I gave his attitude the benefit of the doubt because he's an old man and possibly has poor memory, but still. The accusatory nature was unbecoming and rude. My friend told me he asked him "Why are you here?" which was surprising.

Our party also didn't like how Oz seemed to be more friendly and conversational towards another camping party there as Oz never approached us to make small talk or even say hi. We have minorities in our party so we found this to be a huge unwelcoming letdown. Lots of potential here! Just be wary of the kind of welcoming you get, or lack...

Not a bad place for fishing and camping but I brought my jet skis here because some family wanted to camp and I wanted to ride the jet skis. I looked it up on the DNR website and they are not prohibited whatsoever. However I was stopped by about 4 people from the lodge and camp ground staff that said it’s wakeless and speed restricted, both are false. There are no rules stating that whatsoever online or posted. They seemed to just believe if they said it enough I’d just leave and I actually looked it up and told them to take it up with the officials if they had a problem. It’s not a good lake for jet skis anyway because it’s a bit cold but I was stopped several times and told that I was going to get fined and that it was wakeless. We stayed well clear of everyone as to be respectful. All in all I would not recommend for jet skis because of the cold, misinformation from the staff, and the restrooms were very dirty with no...

On our way to Bryce Canyon from Orderville, decided to take a look at this beautiful lake. Just off the 14 there was a few turn outs enabling access to the lake for viewing and recreation. Arrived early morning to catch the peaceful and quiet calm of the lake. Weather was chilly yet satisfying and enjoyable. It was so quiet, you could hear the water tapping the shore which was pleasant and relaxing. My family walked along side the shore for a bit enjoying the natural scenery and surroundings. Would have stayed and explored more within the Lake's environment, however needed to get back...

I have only driven past Navajo lake one time in the fall. On the north side of the along the road down to the lake is covered with tall aspen trees. The day I went buy the sun was back lighting the golden colors in the leaves. I had to stop and backup to find a spot to take a couple photos. Wonderful area to drive through!

This cold lake is refreshing on a warm summer day. There is a swim beach by the campground, but you can park anywhere along the south shore and walk down to the rocky shores and find shady spots to enjoy the views while the adventurers hit the water.
