Valley Ridge Park — Attraction in Cedar Hill

The amphitheater area is beautiful!!! It's well-maintained and stays very clean. Because of the hill, a breeze blows through constantly. This is a great space! I've been bringing my kids here for summer music concerts for over a decade. I pack a picnic style dinner, grab lawn chairs, a blanket and some mosquito repellant (because it IS outdoors). The concerts are timed for the cooler part of the evening, and there is ample room for everyone.

(*NOTE: Use Maps or Waze to find the park if you haven't been before. It's tucked off inside a large residential area near Joe Pool Lake--not something you'd just drive past unless you were headed there...

What a Day at the Park! 🌟

The community event at our local park was one for the books! The clean, spacious grounds were the perfect setting for a live band, petting zoo, bounce houses, water slides, face painting, food trucks, and so much more. Every corner had something fun for the whole family — music, laughter, and smiles were everywhere! Even huge, long, creepy snakes to touch! If you didn’t stop by, you truly missed a treat.

Plenty of parking and so many well maintained fields for outdoor sports. I went here for a football game for my godkids and during their game there were also several other games going on. The park was large enough so that there was parking for everyone attending all the games, and there was space for everyone to play comfortably without interfering with other games. There was very little outdoor seating so you have to bring your own chairs or blankets to sit on the ground, but we knew ahead of time and were prepared.
