It has several nice sized parking lots for convenient parking near different parts of the park. There are several areas where you can park and watch the ducks and other wildlife. Read moreWe decided to get a small pavilion at Ellis Park for a family group. It was a beautiful day and Ellis Park and the river is so pretty. The pavilions are different sizes just check out the park to see what you want. We had a smaller one right by Ellis boulevard and parking was close by. We brought our own table and chairs and the pavilion was big enough for everyone to sit in and talk but small enough that you didn't have to yell at somebody to get their attention. Just a really nice nice place. In Ellis Park there is also a 18-hole golf course for your pleasure. There is a swimming pool duck ponds flower gardens boat ramp to the river baseball diamonds I believe there's a tennis court and a beautiful Shakespeare's garden. You can rent a pavilion or the pool or ball diamonds for something private. Ideal place for kids birthdays that way you don't have them messing up your lawn and dirty little fingerprints on your doors and counters. Check on the city of Cedar Rapids website for any costs and other ideas for use...
