I stayed at the Fox Campground and had the most relaxing experience. The county took over ownership of the park recently so everything is updated and looks great like new picnic tables and fire rings in the campground. There is a picnic area, a pavilion and a playground which is separated from the camping area.

All spots are great but the waterfront spots are just beautiful. It’s maybe 100 yards to the water. Nice clean, sandy beach with several sandbars and only the smallest amount of shells washing up (zebra mussels I believe). Three spots have electricity. Potable water is available at the entrance, dumpsters are available and multiple clean porta potties (well as clean as a porta potty can be). There are no showers, regular bathrooms or laundry. There are thick woods on the back side and a note stating there are spots of poison ivy although I haven’t seen any so be aware if you try going in the woods.

The campground is dog friendly (please pick up your dog’s dookey. Please). The dogs are allowed on the beach and in the water with none of the ridiculous permits required in the southern waterfront areas of Wisconsin.

The only negative I can come up with is the road noise as it is right off M35. Also bring your bug spray, mosquitoes and flies are ever present and the flies are biting today because rain is coming.

Oh, did I mention it’s $15 per night, $25 for the electric spots plus a $10 processing fee. I will DEFINITELY be returning...

This park is such an awesome break from driving. You get stuck behind ANOTHER camper or ANOTHER semi going 50 mph on the dot for miles on end. Kids are getting restless and because 35 is so curvy, passing anyone feels like a gamble. This park is old school, we are talking a metal slide, metal monkey bars, and the swings are massive. The top bar of the swings must be 20 feet off the ground. You can push your kids so high your wife will not be able to watch. My daughter was laughing uncontrollably with fun. It is a great memory. We also then took a stroll down the beach, my daughter finding small shells, and the waves crashing water over our feet. We took a nice stroll, turned around, and went back. Felt great to get some energy out of the kid and some blood back into our legs after sitting so long. The "bathrooms" is a singular Portapotty. The "picnic area" are worn down picnic tables scattered along the beach. There were some people playing with their dog in the water a little ways down towards the camp site. Seems dog friendly enough to me! This place is not fancy at all, but it was exactly what we needed today. There is even a swing that's set up so high off the ground, I had to jump to get on it as a grown man.... I'm 6'5"... my feet weren't touching the ground. It was awesome! Slide...

The Fox Park campground has 21 sites with 13 on the Green Bay side. The sites are reasonably spaced with those on the other side of campground road spaced a little further apart. I stayed in one of these the night of 9/6/25. All sites have electrical service. Water is provided by one enthusiastic water hose by the campground entry, 4 porta-potties serve as restrooms. The campground is just off the main road which is very busy and noisy most of the time. I slept fine using ear plugs. All sites require reservations, they have a user-friendly web site to do this. Reservations cost $10 plus $25 for each night of camping. I was a little disappointed that all the lake sites were taken when I reserved but when I got there, several were not marked "reserved" and others that were were unoccupied. But I didn't pursue trying to change my reservation. I had a good view of the lake from what seems to be the only pull-through site, #7. Overall I thought the campground was pretty nice -- with its lakeside setting, sandy beach, and large trees enhancing its overall ambience. I would use it again... and make sure I again had...
