I entered Cherry Creek Reservoir from the east entrance. This entry will take you to the beach are going right and also the camp grounds. Going forward will take you to pavilions just off the water. There's bathrooms located at all these sights, I also noticed allot of people walking their dogs very friendly owners and pets. The beach was awesome, very clean, plenty of pick nick tables 100 feet or so up from shore. There's also a large pavilion to the north of the beach area, large covered structure with many tables beautiful views from there also. The beach is located down from the pavilion but pretty much the end of it. Get to the beach and enjoy some you time..am I bossy?...

Completed the loop today in May it was great sunny day on Jun 1st we parked at the free lot at the end of the dam road intersection and school. Started around 10:10am and completed 6.5 mile trail around 12:30pm. You get to see birds, beach and people fishing on the trail. Overall scenic trail that changes as you walk across forest and reservoir.

Love this beach. The sand isn't as rocky as others, nicer to the feet. Shady areas available, if you get there early enough. Water is great for jet skis, very little debris in the water. When we go, we make a day of it and usually stay all day. I like the fact that rangers make their presence continuously known.
