Shade Mountain Winery & Vineyards — Attraction in Center Township

I have not had the pleasure of visiting the vineyard yet, but I did pick up a bottle of Granny Z's Hard Tea wine at a gas station in central PA on a road trip and holy mother of god is this stuff dangerous. Unlike all the tea-esque hooches around the world and the entirety of Long Island, Shade Mountain has actually managed to make a drink that just....tastes like iced tea with a little hint of lemon. The simple things are always the hardest to get right, and this is so right it's come all the way around and is about to pass you on the left. It's amazing, miraculous, and a whole bunch of other adjectives I would have known back when I started the bottle. 10/10, no notes, this is the absolute best wine I have ever impulse bought at a gas station at 3am. I will probably be ordering some soon or planning another...

My wife and I came on a Sunday afternoon, our first time. The ladies (employees) treated us like royalty. We did the Sunflower walk, had local BBQ chicken and my wife enjoyed a wine flight. I can’t emphasize enough how wonderfully we were treated. I don’t even drink and I look forward to going again. My friend and I made a 2 hour road trip to get to the winery. WELL worth the trip!!! Debbie was so friendly and helpful. It was extremely hard to choose only 6 samples!! (My friend and I decided to each choose 6 different wines so we could get 12 tastes. EVERY one was very good!!!) We purchased THREE cases so that tells you how much we loved the wine.!!
