If you got to where Google with route you then you're at the head of the walking path that goes all the way into town. On the walk it's all paved and perfect for strollers and wheel chairs. Not to busy but there is enough people around to feel safe. There is some sketchy parts where a fence is broken and there is an abandoned building but if you stay on the path you'll pass at a safe enough distance. You then will pass the baseball fields, skatepark, lots of water access, basketball courts, tennis court, bathrooms, dog park, picnic area, and some swings. Please leash your...

The falls are located on Rouge River near the town of Gold Hill. The access closest to the falls is from a gravel road less the 1/8 of mile. The parking area is also gravel. There is access by way of a jogging / walking path that connects to local county park. The falls have a Class 4 rating so you need to be experienced to raft this area. The views are spectacular. They do not allow fishing in the area of the falls. However follow the river up stream and you'll find several good...

A few spots of calmness just above the rapids. But the rapids are moving too fast to even put your feet in. The river is about 70-80 yards wide. It was too cold to go in and see how deep it was, but the water was clear and very beautiful. There were several great views too. There was a paved bike path that ran parallel to the river as well as a gravel/dirt pedestrian path in between the bike path and river.

It's beautiful, but not a place to take young tots or animals who aren't trained on a leash. For a couple or a single person looking for a nice meeting place for lunch it's perfect. As it has a cute lil picnic area not far from the water. It does have an area you can walk out onto , in order to feel safer than crawling on rocks that may be slippery and risk falling in the current. But so 😍 gorgeous.

Beautiful to look at. I don't know if I would qualify it as a waterfall. Rapids for sure and BIG rapids at that. It's kinda hard to find and not very well maintained. But there is a picnic table and one spot I saw where you could wade in. But very little shade and no shade at the picnic table. There were rapid raft tours going on and I think seeing the river from that perspective is the way to go.
