TO REPLY TO THE COMMENT YALL, the landfill sign DOES NOT say transfer Station no where. It says Landfill. That's a piece of information if I was yall that I'd provide my guests knowing upon coming!
First, I communicated with the man who answers the phone a day before planning our float. Actually talked to him twice the day before. My group drives 2 hours away to use this business for a family fun day and we arrived and they are closed. . Please use your thoughtfulness next time for your paying customers so they won't waste time and gas and get turned down. Secondly, the drive there I seen no water and was skeptical about our float as we got closer. The road this business is on also has a landfill close by. Honestly that grossed me out and when we arrived the water was so disgusting looking. Even IF they had weather issues that night I still would have never stepped foot in that water. My mind kept thinking 'is this water or wash from the landfill' that's how gross it looked. I'd suggest not driving out of your way for this attraction because from the sight when I pulled in, it sure wasn't worth driving that far away.
Lastly, if yall are closed, put out signs so people will know and have...
Read moreThis float trip was VERY peaceful and nice. It was very clean. The floats are so comfortable having a back rest. The only negative was at the end of the trip. The path to get up to the shuttle is prety steep. They parked at the top of the hill when they absolutely could have drove down to the end of the path to pick us up. They expected us to carry all of our stuff (ice-chest, music speakers, bags, etc.) AND their tubes too. I was doing good being able to climb up the incline with just my stuff. We just felt like if they expected us to carry the tubes, they should pull down closer, Or they should let you leave the float down there. Every other float trip I've been on collected the floats themselves. Over all though I was a...

Float tubes with handles and backrests, as well as cooler floats are available for rent for your 2.5 mile, 3 to 4 hour float trip down the Cahaba River. A shuttle will be waiting at the take out point to bring you back to your vehicle. This is a mild float with only a 16 ft. drop in elevation over the entire route. Close toed water shoes are recommended for this float trip as the rocky shoals can be abrasive in some areas. No glass drink containers are allowed on...
