My husband and I went hiking in the Guadalupe State Park. The parking near the river is great and we were quite suprised that there are parking lots all over the park, that allow you to stop in different areas and hike around the wild areas further away from the actual river. There were ample picnic tables equipped with bbq stations, placed well in areas where you will have views of the river; some in very close proximity. The trees are breath taking and on a good weather day this place is a nature wonderland , you can find a sweet spot and easily have a great meditation session. The paths you can walk go along and within the forest like areas, making for excellent hiking and feeling like you can really go far within to discover nature. It's excellent that you can go in the river, just be sure to wear water shoes as the stones at the bottom will hurt your feet no matter how tough your soles are. I highly recommend this park for families and couples alike. And if you're a camper, this place is phenomenal as they have areas for campers, tents, and shower facilities . Very cheap rates, and you can be there all day with ability to come and go for the day you pay for. Love...

Beautiful scenery and cameras everywhere for safety purposes. Now up top they have 9 BEAUTIFULLY kept soccer fields, with lots of games and fun being had. There are a couple playgrounds for the kiddos and a really nice ate for parties and gatherings! Plenty of parking and again really nicely kept bathrooms to use. I highly encourage you to get your family and pack a lunch to come out and enjoy this park. Both upper and lower levels! Plenty of parking to access the...
Read moreVery clean, two parking lots, with nine or so Soccer/athletic fields usually super active on weekends, don't know about late afternoons. During the week its quiet mainly city vehicles come, sit, and go. Bathrooms are modest 2 sinks and 5 thrones 2 sit-down 3 standing up. (Mens restroom) Some vandalism but not on the scale as some other parks in Ceres. A central courtyard of sorts with picnic tables, flags, history of the park on stone tablets. Other than the playing fields and picnic areas its not a nature park or like a sit down and lounge type of park. If it had more of that it would've...
