this place is a great way to explore the brandywine river for free. keep in mind that because it is free, the lot will fill up quickly and parking on the road side has mostly all been eliminated by the park service via huge rocks. people will bring their entire family here for day-long fiestas where they setup tents, blankets, hammocks, chairs, grills, and just cookout the play crazy loud music and swim around in the water. get here early, well before 10 AM on the weekends, but before 9 would be better.
