A wide variety of South Dakotans awarded including writers, artists, politicians, farmers, ranchers, health care workers, lawyers, law enforcers and educators at all levels. It's inspiring to read the individual profiles. Some we knew; some we didn't. Interesting exhibits, such as on health and the Dignity statue nearby. One star for utter lack of compliance with CDC safety covid-19 recommendations despite the emphasis on health and education and the fact that the state ranks second in the number of new cases per capita over the past two weeks. Other museums visited in the state were great on this score, for example the nearby Indian museum, as were most restaurants and motels.
