Gaylord State Forest Area — Attraction in Chandler Township

Love it. Gaylord State Forest area Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Michigan maybe even in the whole world. There are endless trails and nature and wildlife and whatever your imagination can come up with you'll find. Whether you want to stay near the main roads or venture off-the-beaten-path this is something that will make sure everyone is interested in and keep them entertained for hours on end. Keep in mind it is Michigan and the weather changes drastically so be prepared for anyting there are days where I'll start off wearing snow gear and have shorts on by the end of the day. There are dog friendly areas and there are playgrounds that are designed for children. Long stretches for the adults. Make sure to be prepared for where restroom maybe as this is not always an easy thing to find but they are easy to find when you are looking for them mainly in the middle of a trailhead or at the beginning or end of a location. I loved this State Forest. I hiked almost all the trails and it was beautiful. The trails were very clean and great signage to know where you are on the trails.
