The park is very beautiful, and has a beach and large playground. The playground is on the way back to the beach area, which is suitable for many age levels. The. Each area has a lot of shallow space for kids. Our kids always wanted to go way out far, but most places drop off quickly, or have less room for the swim area. This beach actually has a couple hundred feet out of shallow enough for kids to touch. That makes me feel the kids are safer and not a place to panic that they won't be able to touch when they swim way out. The buoys mark off where the ground drops and the swimming are ends, and no watercraft is allowed.

There are quite a few picnic tables there as well, with great tree coverage for shade. This is a great place for the hot sunny days when you want relief from the sun, and picnic. This is a great family place to go, without needing to go up North to a cabin. There is also a kids water sand toy feature, but due to Covid-19 it is blocked off for now.
