Great recreation trail repurposed from the old railroad. Parking at various locations along the trail. Connects with the Greenway Corridor in Lake County, and changes name to Maple Highlands Trail in Geauga County. Goes through the towns of Chardon and Middlefield. Previously the substrate was gravel, which was nicer for horseback riding and hiking. The entire trail is paved now, so very wheelchair accessible, and convenient for bicycles, running/walking, etc. Buggies permitted on certain legs of the trail. *Be sure to stop in Middlefield for food at Olde Town Grille and ice cream at The Depot.
