We had a wonderful visit. There is something so magical about being in the presence of reindeer. The kids were delighted with the experience as were we as adults. We were fortunate enough to get in after a few extra openings were made just before Christmas. We loaded the kids in the car and drove 4 hours to the farm. Please be mindful to load your maps before going as there is no cell reception in the area . Also prepare to go off roading as many roads were gravel and muddy leading to the farm. It had just trained the day before and was super windy and frigid the day we went. I would love to go back and experience this in the snow for that extra magical feel! The hosts were just wonderful and very pleasant to talk to. They were very knowledgable and invested in their work. You can tell the animals are well care for and that this is a labor of love for the people running the farm. Please be kind and on time to make the most out of the experience for everyone attending. You can see the effort involved in making this what it is for the kids and adults attending. People who came late during our time slots were rude and threw things out of whack a bit for groups who had shown up on time. It added extra stress and confusion for groups who did make it on time with the late comers bumbling around in the opposite direction from the main groups who were following the plan that was laid out at the beginning of the visit. I couldn't help but feel bad for the people working there seeing how some late comers were treating them a well. To the wonderful people working there. Thank you so much for your time and efforts. It was truly a memorable experience that this family won't forget!

What a cool and amazing experience. My wife and I made the trip out to Smugglers Notch and reached out the Pauline to see if we could get a tour, even though the farm was closed for the season. Pauline made an exception for us and was the sweetest person. The multigenerational family farm was well kept and the animals are clearly well cared for. I've never seen an actual reindeer before, they were very friendly and fascinating. Obviously we made our trip to the farm to see them but were also met with an unexpected surprise of seeing her various other animals. We got to pet deer, donkeys, and see a all sorts of chickens, rabbits, ducks, goats, funky grouse, and peacocks. The farm has different sections that are themed out and a lot to see and experience. Pauline was clearly very knowledgeable and had a hilarious sense of humor. She's someone you could totally hang out with and was a comforting host. She hooked us up with homemade cider which warmed us up. She also sells some homemade care products and maple syrup. I'm fortunate we took the trip over, this was an experience for the books and the highlight of our trip, I highly recommend checking this farm out and thank you again to Pauline!

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to share the wonderful experience I had here. Pauline and John are super sweet owners, so knowledgeable about their reindeer, and they provided a really unique and fun experience! I enjoyed learning about the reindeer and being able to feed, pet, and take pictures with them! They provided homemade apple cider and cookies afterwards that were delicious! They also had a cute shop with lots of homemade goodies and items from other local businesses. Such an amazing experience, I will be back!! 😊 ps - I visited after a huge rainstorm hit the area and my car got stuck in deep mud on the way. John was so kind to give me a tow out of the mud - thank you!!

We learned about Vermont Reindeer Farm in the 11th hour before our trip to Vt was almost over and we are so absolutely thrilled that we did. Pauline and John are the absolute sweetest, most down to earth couple that clearly love their reindeer and all the rescued animals on their farm. Where else can you go and see actual Reindeer? I am still absolutely giddy like a child lol. If you are an animal lover like I am than you must go. Not only did we get to see the reindeer but we also got to hang out with them for a while and feed them as well. As if that were not enough we were also taken on a tour of the rest of the farm and got to meet with and pet their goats, deer, cows and more and learn all about their histories. Absolute heaven! They work beyond hard to support these animals and their love for them is truly apparent. After our farm visit and tour we warmed up in one of the little houses and were treated to freshly made apple cider and homemade warmed applesauce (which were both amazing), along with lots of stories and information. This is not a big commercialized farm and we were so thrilled and happy that we were part of a small group of 7 total people. If you want a truly authentic, rustic, hands on personal farm experience and want to see and learn about reindeer and other animals than you must visit the Vermont Reindeer Farm. We can't wait to go back! Thank you...
