We stayed here right in the beginning of May, when the campground was nearly empty, so I can't speak for how things are during peak season. But overall a beautiful and well-kept campground with a lot of the basics you'd want and sites that aren't crammed together. The entrance is gated and staffed at all hours, and everyone we interacted with was very nice and helpful! The bath/shower facility was very clean and there are portajohns throughout the rest of the park. The showers are coin operated which isn't my favorite thing, and the labels were completely faded/peeled on every stall that would indicate how many quarters = how many minutes. Not a big deal, just worth knowing beforehand. My only real quip is that, out of a nearly empty campground, we got stuck next to a large group that was insanely noisy well into the night even in the pouring rain; staff either didn't know (fair) or does not enforce "quiet hours." The size of the campground probably also makes this hard to manage, but I can only hope they keep a closer eye on it when the place is more heavily booked. Overall though Burlingame is a great (and huge) campground that I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

First off, do not even attempt to go to this park before the 1:00pm check in time. They are VERY strict and no one enters before 1:00pm! This campground is huge with nearly 1000 campsites. The sites are nicely spaced and most are in shady woodsy areas. There are no electric or water hookups, but water spigots are located throughout the park. There are also at least 6 dump stations in different areas of the park. There are only about 6 bath houses in this giant park, but there are port-a-pots along every road and within easy walking distance to all the campsites. Every bathroom and all the potties we visited were very clean and always had paper. The showers are pay showers with decent pressure and good hot water. The camp store had a variety of camping needs, food stuff and souvenirs. There is a video game arcade here, too. It was nice, had about 20 fairly new games and air hockey. However, it was sweltering hot in the building, so we left without playing any of the games. We hiked to the Kettle Pond Nature center on a well marked easy trail. Overall this is a nice, very quiet place, a little pricey for no hook ups, but we enjoyed being here.

We went to Burlingame State park over the weekend of 30th July. We were three families with 5 kids and booked the camp number 168 and 170. We reached the ground by 7 pm and were shocked to see the ground being unleveled - full of rocks of all sizes and twigs. Definitely both the spots were not kids friendly. We tried contacting the office but they told that the camp ground had full occupancy over the weekend. Kids were hardly able to play or roam around freely. We somehow managed to find flat surfaces to put the tent. However, the worst nightmares were the toilets. We had deliberately chosen spot close to the toilet as we had kids. The map never mentioned that the toilets were portable ones. There was just one portable toilet for at-least 15 camps. The portable toilets were never cleaned and by the afternoon it was stinking like hell. We called and requested the office but there was no action. We then had to walk almost a quarter mile every time with kids to the restrooms. We could hardly enjoy the stay and the only thing that clicks me when I recall Burlingame’s camp ground is the stinking portable toilets…:(

Good place to spend a long weekend. Many tent sites, few cabins and trailer park. No electricity which is what we want. Cabin was enough for 4 people with 2.bunk beds, private porch. Outside, there was fireplace and picnic table. Water joints everywhere. Best part was the man made beach around the lake. Nice, clear water, very safe for swimming, kayaking. Camp store was big, open 7-9pm and stocks pretty much anything you may need. Staff was helpful but little distant. Small naturalist hut for young kids to explore a few things and good size playground next to camp store. Some observations, Entry point is guarded, even when no significant queue, it took us 30mins, but staff was trying hard and easy to work with. Need cash for cabin key deposit which is unusual as folks caught off guard were using atm on the site delaying others. Too many mosquitoes and bugs, probably need paste control. Directions were on a single paper, hard to read, with very little actual signage. Teenagers were way to fast on their bicycles and didn't find much ranger patrolling.

My go-to when wanting to camp alone. Can find good size camp sites for large or small size families or groups. Fire pits and a picnic table at each site. Glad for pre-check & start the fun sooner. Camp store has a little bit of everything; although I needed salad dressing they didn't have any but the staff was helpful with ideas. This time around wished park staff enforced the quiet hours as I have experienced; some people have a little respect for rules but won't stop me from returning. Every pet friendly campground. I truly appreciate the bathroom cleaning staff; come around pretty often to clean & thank goodness- some people!! I will leave it at that (not happy w/ those people.) Bring quarters if you want to shower. I think a 3 minute shower is a $1.50. Beach/swimming area not too big & no lifeguard on duty. Bring a bike, fishing pole and other fun things to do. Looking to book again this summer.!

Great place to camp. Felt safe, there was a water spicket nearby, flush toilets, quarter showers (3), a camp store (with everything), picnic table etc. Pine trees surrounded the area. Burlingame is near many beach’s and a 10 min drive to a Walmart Supercenter. Car camping was easy. Would recommend!
