We have been here several times and enjoyed it each time. Fairly rocky, with smooth stones covering most of the area, one can walk around with sandals or shoes. NOT a sandy beach, by any means. One's experience here largely depends on the water level, but regardless, views of the Adirondacks are spectacular. Not sure of fee structure for residents or non-residents, but a worthwhile trip, nonetheless.

Beautiful location to sit for lunch after a visit to Shelburne market. Picnic tables and benches both in the park as well as red on the lake playground further up in the woods. Plenty of parking small fee if you're a non-resident.

This beach has a very nice area for sitting on benches and overlooking the lake or sitting down on the rocks by the beach or dipping your toes in the water or going swimming. Definitely a variety for everyone.

The views are beautiful, but the locals break their own rules by bringing their dogs at all hours (and into the water) and blocking huge sections of the beach for the entire day. I love dogs, but if you're going to ban them on this beach and park area, then everyone should be held accountable, Karen.

I'll take a real beach on the ocean any day over this, but the sunsets are...

Beach was nice... people were unfortuately not! Guests and employees had a very pretentious attitude and were downright rude to non-Charlotte residents. People kept asking us if we were from Charlotte and proceeded to speak unkindly and demeaningly towards us when we said we were not. There are plenty of other great beaches in the area so we feel no need to come back to...
