Chaska Town Course — Attraction in Chaska

Our group of four was told three separate times that we are too slow. There were also messages that appeared on the cart monitor. Even though we finished 18 in under 4.5 hours which is, as per their own website, the requested pace of play. This is a beautiful and challenging course. Unfortunately they make a point to not allowing everyone to enjoy their time there. I have not experienced this at another course before. There are lots of great golf courses in the twin cities suburban areas. I would recommend taking your money and time to one that appreciates your business. Very high quality public golf course. Excellent practice facilities. The couse is very well maintained with stripped fairways, well positioned bunkers, very good fringes and excellent putting surfaces. The course is well designed to take advantage of the natural habitat and marsh areas. Although surrounded by very nice homes, the fairways are generous and the homes do not come in to play at all. Park like setting. The club house is basic but has a good pub-like menu and is situated high above the course. The outdoor patio is small but has a fabulous view of the par 5, 18th hole and natural marsh land below...A great place to have a beverage and sandwich...

My brother booked this course for a bachelor party for myself and my friends, I have played the course before, and I know that it is nice. We had 4 tee times at ~$100 round. We had a mix of decent golfers and bad golfers and spent more than $2500 between greens fees, lunch and beverages, tipped the cart girls well, etc. The round was a little long, maybe 4.5 hours. No one was out of hand or doing anything ridiculous. The pros berated us and told us we were not welcome back, which I do not have a problem with. I will never play this course again.
