I have lots of fond memories of this wonderful place. My dad delivered the mail for 25 years to this area and to the reserve during the 60s 70s and 80s. He was friends with the Rangers and they gave us personal hikes to a native American rock house located on the side of the mountain. I Also got the privilege of being able to climb the fire tower when it was operational in the 70s and what a thrill for a 10 year old. Snoopers rock is a must see and a great vantage point for photos.

It also has several primitive campsites. The pond way out on Pond Rd has a nice assortment of...

Unknown man who refused to identify himself cursing and screaming telling them to pack their stuff and get to the top of the trail. Marion Counry dispatch was called and TWRA officer called as well. We were told it was not TWRA out there but could of been a Marion County officer who lives close! If this was you sir! SHAME ON YOU! these were respectable children and parents who were simply taking a church group on a over night camp and hiking trip! There was no need to curse and scream at them like they were criminals. You scared these children and at a time where people already don't trust officers you made it that...
