Parked at the Cumberland Trail Parking lot within the Prentice Cooper State forest. It was approximately a 4 mile hike or so to Snooper’s Rock and back but there are various ways you could make it a loop if you’d like to make a further hike. Hike is pretty moderate with some good uphill on the way back. Sections with rock/uphill but well worth the view you are rewarded with. Wow! This was my favorite view on the trip besides Look Out Mountain. The rock to enjoy the view on is huge and prime for a beer or sandwich. Taking the route I’ve suggested you will also pass Indian Rockhouse & a staircase between two rocks which was super cool and unexpected!

This is one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen and its the dead of winter. I can’t wait to come back in the spring when everything is in bloom and in fall to see all the colors. The other instructions were correct, you can park at the first parking area labeled Snoopers Rock off of Game Preserve Rd, walk about 1/4 mile down the gravel road to the left of the parking area (or you can drive down the gravel road and park A LOT closer) Step over the log on the right of the second parking area onto the unmarked path and the bluff is literally 50 feet ahead. I don’t know how you could possibly get lost.

First time I went I was impressed just by the drive which had its fair share of bumps and rough patches allthough many were driving anything from honda civics to jeeps and duelies I wouldnt take anything without awd or 4wd and some decent shocks if your planing on driving down some of the vehicle trails however if your just going to the trailhead parking you should get by fine with 2wd just know that the further down game reserve rd you go the rougher it gets also the views are stunning have fun
